Major League Soccer side FC Dallas have completed the signing of Nigerian winger Daniel Job on a permanent transfer from Norwegian club Kongsvinger IL.
The 21 year old has signed a contract running through the 2029 season, with an option for an additional year. Job arrives in the United States after an impressive spell at Kongsvinger, where he registered eight goals and nine assists in 20 appearances. The move is reportedly worth around $5.2 million, said to be the biggest transfer involving a player moving out of Norway’s lower leagues.
“A Lot Of Upside”
FC Dallas Chief Soccer Officer Andre Zanotta welcomed the signing, describing Job as a promising young winger who has excelled in Norway and drawn interest from clubs across Europe. He said the club believes Job has real upside and the qualities to keep developing at FC Dallas, and expects his pace and ability to attack defenders to add a dynamic new option in the final third.
A New Chapter In MLS
Job will now look to build on his breakout form as he begins life in MLS, aiming to establish himself as an important attacking option for FC Dallas.
