Nigeria’s Falconets have been forced to make two changes to their squad for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after captain Joe Igbokwe and defender Faridat Abdulwahab were unable to secure entry visas to Poland.

The duo have been replaced in the squad by Vivian Kachi and Alaba Olabiyi. Moses Aduku’s side arrived in Trzebnica, Poland, on Tuesday and have since stepped up preparations for the tournament.

Two Warm Up Tests Before The Real Thing

The Falconets will face hosts Poland in a warm-up match at the Municipal Stadium in Brzeg on Friday, before rounding off their preparations against Korea Republic at the Remes Resort & Spa Football Stadium the following Tuesday.

Group F Opener Against Spain Awaits

Nigeria have been drawn in Group F alongside Spain, China PR and Paraguay, and will open their campaign against Spain on Monday, 7 September.
