Abia Warriors will play their 2026/27 NPFL home games at Enyimba Stadium in Aba.
The club will relocate to Aba in the coming days for closed-door camping ahead of the new season, with the switch necessitated by ongoing renovation work at their usual home in Umuahia.
“We’re Just Coming Back From A Pre-Season Tournament”
Club Executive Chairman John Obuh, a former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles head coach, confirmed the arrangement directly to Complete Sports on Wednesday evening. He explained that the Umuahia ground is currently undergoing renovation, meaning Enyimba Stadium will serve as the club’s temporary home for the coming campaign, with the squad moving into a concentration camp in Aba after returning from a recent pre-season tournament.
Building For A Stronger Campaign
Obuh said the club has been carefully assembling a stronger and more competitive squad for the new season, blending promising young players with those retained from last term to create what he described as the right mix of youthfulness and experience. Abia Warriors finished seventh with 55 points in the 2025/26 NPFL season, having earlier harboured hopes of a top-three finish before falling away in the closing stages.
