Danish club FC Midtjylland have completed the signing of Nigerian midfielder Hassan Momodu Kashietu from Nigerian club FC Ebedei, with the 18 year old joining the Black and Reds’ Under-19 squad.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Kashietu said the move felt like a personal milestone and expressed pride at reaching this stage of his career, adding that he hopes to eventually break into the first team and continue developing both as a player and as a person during his time in Denmark.
Jonas Dal, head of FC Midtjylland’s Nigeria scouting operation, said he was excited by the signing, describing Kashietu as a hard working, physically strong midfielder who reads the game well and often wins the ball back quickly through his pressing. Dal added that Kashietu has also developed technically in recent times, becoming more comfortable and secure on the ball.
