Akwa United chairman Joseph Eno and head coach Paul Offor have thrown their support behind the 11th edition of the Immortality FC Pre-Season Cup, adding cash incentives that have sharpened the race for the tournament’s individual awards.
Eno, who also owns Campgee Hotel, pledged a brand new pair of football boots and a ₦20,000 cash prize for the competition’s top goalscorer, and donated a further ₦50,000 toward the organisation of the tournament. Offor added his own incentive, announcing a ₦20,000 cash reward for the player voted Most Valuable Player.
Both men have attended matches regularly since the competition began, offering encouragement to the young players involved and backing the initiative organised by Immortality FC chief executive Coach Ubong Okon James. Eno has been a consistent supporter of grassroots football in Akwa Ibom State, having also backed the recently concluded Comfort FM Neighbourhood Football Fiesta through his hotel business.
