Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have been drawn against Ghana, Togo, and Burkina Faso in Group B of the 2026 WAFU B U-20 Championship, a tournament that doubles as the qualifying competition for the 2027 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
The draw was held on Wednesday at the headquarters of the West African Football Union Zone B in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire. Group A consists of hosts Cote d’Ivoire, Benin Republic, and Niger Republic, with those three nations also competing for a place at the continental championship.
Nigeria’s group draw sets up a fresh meeting with Ghana’s Black Satellites, a side the Flying Eagles beat 2-1 in the final of the previous edition of the competition. Nigeria have won the last two editions of the WAFU B U-20 Championship.
The tournament runs from July 26 to August 9, 2026, in Yamoussoukro, Cote d’Ivoire.
