Olisa Ndah could be on the move again in South Africa, with Mamelodi Sundowns reportedly identifying the Nigerian defender as one of their targets to strengthen the backline ahead of a new season.
Ndah is currently a free agent after his contract at Stellenbosch FC expired. He had only joined the Cape Town club in the second half of last season following his exit from Orlando Pirates, but a delay in securing his work permit restricted him to just seven appearances before the campaign ended.
According to South African outlet Foot Africa, Sundowns have earmarked the 28 year old as part of their plans to bolster the defence for what is expected to be another demanding campaign on multiple fronts, and talks with his representatives are said to be moving in a positive direction.
Ndah built his reputation in South African football during his time at Orlando Pirates, establishing himself as one of the more reliable centre-backs in the top flight and winning silverware with the club before his move to Stellenbosch.
On the international stage, Ndah has earned four caps for the Super Eagles and was part of Nigeria’s squad at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, giving him experience at the highest level of African international football to go with his club pedigree.
