President of the Nigeria Football Federation NFF, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, announced on Thursday that the Federation is committed to giving the Beach Soccer National Team, known as the Supersand Eagles, the same level of attention as other national teams once they return to international competitions.
The NFF is determined to restore Nigeria’s participation in futsal and beach soccer. Gusau assured financial and other forms of support for the Supersand Eagles and futsal. The Supersand Eagles have previously won the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations in 2007 and 2009 and reached the quarter finals in the 2011 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
