The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has confirmed that two key fixtures on the final day of the regular season will kick off simultaneously to ensure competitive integrity. Matches between Naija Ratels and Bayelsa Queens in Abuja, and FC Robo Queens versus Delta Queens in Lagos, will now both begin at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
The announcement was made via an official memo from NWFL Chief Operating Officer Modupe Shabi, who emphasised that the measure is crucial to “preserve the spirit of fairness” and avoid any team gaining an unfair advantage based on earlier match outcomes.
The decision comes with one Super Six Playoff spot still up for grabs in Group B. FC Robo Queens and Naija Ratels are the main contenders, both vying to join Edo Queens, Bayelsa Queens, Rivers Angels, Nasarawa Amazons, and Remo Stars Ladies in the end-of-season championship round.
Robo Queens, currently in their 10th straight season in the top flight, are looking to return to the Super Six after missing out last year. Naija Ratels, who made a dream debut appearance in 2022, are aiming to reach their second playoff appearance in three seasons.
