The match is scheduled for Saturday, 11th May at 4 pm Mali time and will be held at the March 26 Stadium.
The Confederation of African Football CAF has appointed a team of officials led by Burundi’s Suavis Iratunga to oversee the match. The return leg will take place a week later, on Saturday, 18th May at 4.30 pm Nigeria time, at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja. For this fixture, the referee will be Aline Umutoni from Rwanda, with a team of officials from Rwanda and Ethiopia assisting.
The decision to host the match in Bamako grants the Nigerian team a slight advantage, as they avoid playing in the opponent’s home country. The Flamingos’ delegation is scheduled to depart from Abuja on Wednesday, 8th May.
