Three of the Nigeria Women Football League’s heavyweights Edo Queens, Bayelsa Queens, and Rivers Angels have officially clinched their places in the 2024/25 NWFL Premiership Super Six after Matchday 11 concluded on April 9.
Edo Queens continued their dominant run by defeating Remo Stars Ladies 1-0 in a top-tier Group A clash in Ikenne. Kafayat Mafishere struck in the eighth minute, handing the defending champions all three points while ending Remo’s flawless home record.
In Lagos, FC Robo Queens delivered a stunning performance, defeating Rivers Angels 3-0 at the Legacy Pitch. Despite goals from Kemi Adegbuyi, Mariam Yahaya, and Opeyemi Ajakaye ending the Port Harcourt side’s 10-match unbeaten run, Rivers Angels still sealed their Super Six spot due to a comfortable gap over fourth-placed Naija Ratels.
Bayelsa Queens also joined the elite six, maintaining their unbeaten streak with a 2-0 triumph over Benue Queens. Harmony John and Alaba Obabiyi provided the goals as the Yenagoa-based side cruised to victory.
Elsewhere in Lafia, Nasarawa Amazons claimed the most emphatic result of the week, routing Confluence Queens 5-0. Janet Akekeromowei netted a hat trick, with Aminat Bello and Josephine Matthias adding gloss to the scoreline.

Ibom Angels pulled off a comeback win at home in Uyo, edging Naija Ratels 2-1. Chioma Ashiegbu and Abigail Awak scored in the second half after Sofiat Bankole had put the visitors ahead.
Abia Angels edged Heartland Queens 1-0 in Aba, thanks to a 27th-minute strike from Olajumoke Abina. In a tight match in Lagos, Dannaz Ladies and Ekiti Queens shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw, with goals from Rashidat Salau and Augusta Chukwuma arriving in quick succession.
Delta Queens returned to winning form with a narrow 1-0 win over Adamawa Queens, with Priscilla Omeje scoring the decisive goal.
