At the final draw held on 15 January 2025 in Nairobi, Nigeria were placed alongside defending champions Senegal, Congo, and Sudan in Group D. The Super Eagles B are making a return after two editions on the sidelines and will be aiming to improve on their 2018 runners‑up finish.
Chaired across three East African hosts Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania with Zanzibar designated for Nigeria’s opening matches, the tournament will serve as a showcase of domestic talent. This is the eighth edition of the biennial competition, which features players active in their national leagues.
