ABS FC arrives safely after road accident, to assess readiness for NNL

Abubakar Bukola Saraki FC ABS FC safely returned to Ilorin on Monday after being involved in a road accident while travelling back from their Nigeria National League NNL match in Lagos. The team had played against Sporting Lagos on Sunday, losing 1-0.

The incident occurred along the Ogbomoso-Ilorin expressway when the team bus collided with a trailer, causing damage to the vehicle and minor injuries to some players and officials. Tosh Michaels, the club’s media officer, confirmed the mishap, explaining that quick intervention by club officials, led by Director of Football Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka, ensured that those injured received prompt medical attention and alternative transportation was provided.

In a statement issued by the club, it was confirmed that further medical evaluations will be conducted to ensure the players and staff are fit for their weekend fixture against Solution FC. “The technical crew and medical officials will assess the team’s readiness and take necessary precautions to ensure a safe and successful match,” the club said.

Currently sitting 9th in Group B of the NNL table with 6 points from six matches two wins and four losses ABS FC will be hoping for a strong recovery and positive performance in their upcoming game.
