Swedish Allsvenskan side IF Elfsborg have secured the signing of Nigerian midfielder Oladimeji “Muiz” Abdulmuiz from Nigeria National League outfit Beyond Limits. The teenager has agreed a long-term contract that runs until the summer of 2029.
The 17 year old was spotted by Elfsborg scouts at the Gothia Cup tournament in Sweden and will join the club’s squad once he turns 18 in June, when he will be eligible to formally feature for the first team.
Abdulmuiz impressed Elfsborg scouts with his ability to control play, drive forward and press opponents, showcasing a well-rounded midfield skill set that the Swedish club believe can be developed further at senior level.
Elfsborg sporting director Stefan Andreasson welcomed the midfielder to the club, highlighting that his signing was competitive among several interested teams and that the club see long-term potential in the youngster’s profile.
