Nigerian international defender Olisa Ndah has completed a transfer to Libyan Premier League side Al Shomooa, signing a one and a half year deal following his exit from South African club Orlando Pirates.
The former NPFL standout was a free agent after mutually parting ways with Orlando Pirates last month and has now embarked on a new chapter in North Africa.
Ndah agreed to the move to Al Shomooa as a free transfer after falling down the pecking order at Orlando Pirates, where he struggled for consistent game time in recent seasons.
The 28 year old centre back signed a 17-month contract with the Libyan club, committing his immediate future to the Mediterranean Knights’ squad.
Ndah rose to prominence in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) with Akwa United before making the move abroad in 2021 to join Orlando Pirates in South Africa.
During his time with the Buccaneers, he earned a reputation as a reliable defender and featured regularly before injuries and competition for places limited his opportunities.
The Asaba-born defender has been capped by the Super Eagles, featuring for Nigeria on multiple occasions and making his mark on the international stage.
