Sixtus Ogbuehi Seals Three‑Year Deal with K.V. Kortrijk

Belgian club K.V. Kortrijk have announced the permanent signing of Nigerian forward Sixtus Ogbuehi from Spain’s CD Eldense. The 22 year old has agreed a three‑year contract, keeping him at the Guldensporenstadion until June 2028.

Ogbuehi joined Eldense from AD Ceuta in summer 2024, making six appearances in LaLiga Hypermotion and featuring once in the Copa del Rey. He then spent the rest of the 2024/25 season on loan at Osasuna B in the Primera Federación, notching four goals and four assists in 18 matches, despite never taking the field in La Liga despite three call‑ups to the matchday squad against Girona, Real Valladolid and Sevilla.

A product of Campos FC in Owerri, he has also played at CP Montehermoso and Moralo, demonstrating goal-scoring consistency across Spain’s lower tiers before earning his move to Europe’s next chapter.

K.V. Kortrijk, recently relegated to the Belgian Challenger Pro League, look to secure a swift return to the top flight with the acquisition of the tall and promising Nigerian striker.
