Sigma Olomouc have secured former MFM FC youth product and Nigerian winger Ahmad Ghali from Slovan Liberec in a transfer worth nearly €2 million, including bonuses. The 25 year old has signed a contract extending until 30 June 2028, with an option for a further season.
Ghali admitted that the move happened quickly: “I am happy to be here… I’m thrilled to join a great club with big ambitions. Everything happened within a week,” he said.
Slovan Liberec’s sporting manager Ladislav Minář revealed that Ghali had been on Sigma’s radar for a while and was seen as key to strengthening their wing options.
General manager Jan Nezmar acknowledged the loss from a sporting standpoint but explained the decision was financially sound “We could not keep him Olomouc met our terms. We have players to fill the gap, and the window remains open for further changes.”
