Romanian champions CFR Cluj have officially signed Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo on a free transfer after his Kasimpasa contract was terminated on 28 June 2025. At 31, Omeruo brings a wealth of experience, boasting 69 international caps and significant contributions to Nigeria’s successful campaigns, including the 2013 AFCON triumph and bronze in 2019.
Omeruo’s contract with Cluj begins on 1 July, as confirmed by his agent Anamaria Prodan following his introduction alongside club president Cristi Balaj. Standing at 1.85 m, he’ll compete for a starting berth under coach Dan Petrescu against tough competition in the centre-back lineup.
