Nigeria international Umar Sadiq could be on the move again, as reports from Spain reveal a Qatari club is ready to table a €30 million bid for the striker currently on loan at Valencia from Real Sociedad. Sadiq has impressed since his January switch, netting five goals in 13 La Liga appearances under manager Carlos Corberán.
Valencia, who hold an option to make the move permanent, are reportedly considering triggering the clause with a view to either keeping Sadiq or selling him on for profit. The 28 year old’s recent form has reignited interest in his signature following an injury-plagued spell at Real Sociedad, where he scored four goals in 35 league games.
Sadiq initially joined Real Sociedad from Almeria in 2022 but struggled for consistency due to fitness issues. His current loan spell, however, has revitalized his career and could pave the way for a lucrative transfer to the Middle East.

Umar Sadiq’s career trajectory is a lesson in resilience—and smart timing. After a difficult start at Real Sociedad due to injury, his move to Valencia has reminded everyone of his clinical abilities. Five goals in 13 matches is no fluke, and now, with a €30 million offer reportedly on the table from Qatar, the narrative has shifted from “what could’ve been” to “what next?”
For Sadiq, the decision isn’t just financial it’s philosophical. Does he opt for the riches and relative calm of the Qatari Stars League, or continue proving himself in Europe, perhaps through Valencia’s revival project?
Valencia’s role here is intriguing. With the power to buy and potentially flip for profit, the Spanish club may become a central player in one of the summer’s most interesting transfer sagas.
For Nigeria, wherever he plays, a fit and firing Sadiq adds depth and variety to the Super Eagles’ frontline. The world will be watching what he chooses next.
