Palace Decide to Retain Uche After Bright Show Against Fulham

Christantus Uche will remain at Crystal Palace until the end of the season after impressing in Sunday’s 2–1 win over Fulham.

The 22 year old Nigerian joined the Eagles on a season-long loan from Spanish outfit Getafe.  With speculation swirling that Palace might send him back in January due to limited playing time, the decision to keep him marks a clear vote of confidence.

Despite limited opportunities so far, Uche left a mark after coming off the bench at Craven Cottage. That cameo persuaded the club to change course on his stay. The loan deal—including a clause that triggers a permanent transfer if he makes 10 Premier League starts had cast some uncertainty on his future at the club.  But for now, Uche is set to remain at Selhurst Park and is expected to feature more regularly during the busy festive period.
