Bundesliga 2 club FC Cologne has officially signed Nigerian born midfielder Chilobem Onuoha from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig. The 19 year old midfielder has been immediately loaned to third division club SC Verl to gain more experience in men’s football.
Christian Keller, Cologne’s managing director, praised Onuoha’s potential, stating, In terms of his talent potential, Chilo brings with him a fairly complete package of athletic and technical skills. Our task now will be to get him used to the greater challenges in men’s football as best as possible and to develop quality from his potential. With the loan to Verl, we have made a good start and will support Chilo intensively during the loan.
