Sutton United have bolstered their goalkeeping department by signing 21 year old David Aziaya on 26 June ahead of their 2025–26 National League campaign. The towering keeper joins from Bromley, where he impressed with a loan spell at Finn Harps, making ten league appearances during the 2025 League of Ireland season.
A product of the Norwich City academy, Aziaya moved to Britain from the Kinetic Foundation in South London at 17. He later spent time on loan at Barnsley youth before signing his professional terms with Norwich. At Bromley, he honed his craft in the non‑league, playing for Chatham, Dover Athletic, Salisbury and Dartford, and made his debut for Bromley’s first team in a 1–0 victory over Wealdstone during promotion‑charging February 2024.
Standing 6 ft 6 in, he adds size and athleticism to Sutton’s lineup. A brief but productive stint in Ireland, where he appeared regularly and impressed scouts, paved the way for this move. Aziaya now competes for the No. 1 shirt at Gander Green Lane.
