Arokodare Inspired by Okocha and Kanu, Eager to Represent Nigeria

Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare has shared his admiration for Super Eagles legends Jay Jay Okocha and Kanu, revealing that they inspired his passion for Nigeria’s national football team. Arokodare expressed his desire to represent Nigeria internationally, driven by the influence of Okocha and Kanu. Jay Jay Okocha and Kanu made me love the Super Eagles, Arokodare said. I’m not just speaking for myself, but I’m sure when you get a call up, you’d go there to fight. If I do get a call up, I’ll give my all, I’ll die there.

Born in Lagos, Arokodare has enjoyed a successful career in Belgium, notably scoring 17 goals and providing 5 assists for Racing Genk. Despite speculation about his future, with his contract set to expire in the summer of 2027, he remains focused on his current club, Genk. I’m still a Genk Player and I’m focused on that, he affirmed, dismissing rumours of a potential move.

Arokodare’s European journey began with Latvian side Valmeria before joining German Bundesliga club F.C. Koln on a short term loan. He later moved to French Ligue 1 team Amiens, where he netted 21 goals and provided four assists in 63 appearances.
