Super Eagles Soar to Highest FIFA Ranking in Over a Decade

Following an impressive performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations AFCON, the Super Eagles of Nigeria have achieved their highest FIFA Ranking in 11 years, now positioned 28th globally and third on the African continent. This marks a significant leap from their previous standing, moving up 14 places from being the 42nd ranked team worldwide.

The last time the Super Eagles enjoyed a similar ranking was in May 2013, coinciding with their AFCON victory in South Africa.
