Ebenezer Akinsanmiro on loan at Pisa SC from Inter Milan has been named in Nigeria’s final squad for , his manager Alberto Gilardino confirmed on Monday.
Akinsanmiro’s strong form for Pisa this season earned him the selection. The 21 year old had earlier been tipped for a place in the squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup African playoffs but injury prevented that. He made his return to action in Pisa’s recent 1–0 home defeat to Parma Calcio 1913, coming on at the start of the second half.
Gilardino revealed that after Pisa’s upcoming match against US Lecce on December 12, Akinsanmiro will join the camp of Super Eagles ahead of AFCON. The Eagles will begin their preparations next week, as they gear up for the continental tournament.
