NFF Finally Pays Falconets Bonuses and Allowances for 2022 World Cup

After several months of delay and initial denial by the Nigeria Football Federation NFF, the women’s U20 team, the Falconets, have finally received their outstanding bonuses and allowances for the 2022 World Cup in Costa Rica. This payment follows the approval of a 12 billion Naira bail out fund by President Bola Tinubu in January, aimed at clearing the NFF’s substantial debts to various national teams.

The Falconets, who exited the World Cup in the quarterfinals after a 2-0 loss to the Netherlands, have now been compensated for their efforts.
