Ademola Lookman, Adingra, Hakimi vie for CAF Africa POTY award

The Confederation of African Football CAF has unveiled the top five nominees for the Men’s Player of the Year award at the upcoming CAF Awards 2024. Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman Atalanta will contend for the prestigious title alongside Simon Adingra Côte d’Ivoire/Brighton &amp Hove Albion, Serhou Guirassy Guinea/Borussia Dortmund, Achraf Hakimi Morocco/Paris Saint Germain, and Ronwen Williams South Africa/Mamelodi Sundowns.

The CAF Awards 2024 will take place on December 16 in Marrakech, Morocco, celebrating outstanding performances across club and national competitions from January to October 2024. The ceremony will also honour top achievers in categories such as Goalkeeper of the Year, Interclub Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, Young Player of the Year, Club of the Year, and National Team of the Year.

The Men’s National Team of the Year shortlist includes Côte d’Ivoire, DR Congo, Nigeria, South Africa, and Sudan. In the Goalkeeper of the Year category, Nigeria’s Stanley Nwabali Chippa United joins top names like André Onana Cameroon/Manchester United and Ronwen Williams.
