Bassey Scores, Chukwueze Assists & Iwobi Subbed Off as Fulham Edge Burnley 3–2

Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey scored his first Premier League goal of the season and Samuel Chukwueze provided an assist as Fulham secured a thrilling 3–2 away victory over Burnley in the English Premier League on Saturday.

Fulham raced into an early lead through Emile Smith Rowe’s opener in the 9th minute, but Burnley equalised via Lesley Ugochukwu in the 21st minute. Bassey restored Fulham’s advantage in the 31st minute, heading in from a Harry Wilson corner, while Chukwueze’s brilliant assist set up Wilson’s strike in the 58th minute to make it 3–1.

Alex Iwobi was substituted in the 79th minute for Sasa Lukić after another solid outing, marking his 16th appearance of the season.

Burnley pulled one back late through Oliver Sonne in the 86th minute, but Fulham held on for the win their second away league victory of the campaign and first at Turf Moor in decades.

The result moves Fulham up to 13th in the table on 20 points, while Burnley remain 19th and deep in relegation trouble.
