Warri Wolves took home two of the biggest honors at the Nigeria National League (NNL) April/May Excellence Awards, to be held on 18 June at Abuja’s West Point Hotel. Coach Napoleon Aluma was named Best Coach, while goalkeeper Efevwerha Joke secured Best Goalkeeper.
Meanwhile, Edel FC’s striker Gukut Merpring Chindi has been recognised as the April top scorer. He netted three goals and provided one assist in just four games, and added another goal in May—bringing his tally to five in seven matches, aiding Edel’s fight against relegation.
Additional awards to be presented include Best Behaved Team (Sokoto United FC), MVP (Valentine Ugwu of Solution FC), and Goal of the Month (Shamasu Mohammed of Barau FC). Representatives from the NFF, NNL, and partnering organisations are expected to attend the ceremony.
