The 25 year old limped out of the session after picking up a knock, raising fears over his availability for Saturday’s clash at Deutsche Bank Park.
His availability means he will be the only senior fullback option for Werder Bremen. For Nigeria, Agu’s recovery also brings relief to Super Eagles manager Eric Chelle, who is set to announce his squad list for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in September.The three-time African champions will face South Africa and Rwanda as they aim to book their place at the tournament in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
