Sunshine Stars Appoint Bobola Akinfolarin as New Head Coach

Sunshine Stars have officially introduced Bobola Akinfolarin as their new head coach. The announcement was made at the Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA) headquarters in Akure, where Akinfolarin signed a one-year deal with the club.

Akinfolarin arrives with notable experience he previously served as technical director of Sunshine Queens FC and has been an assistant coach under several managers, including Bala Abubakar, Kennedy Boboye, and Kayode Olujoungbe. He holds a CAF B Coaching License as well as an advanced certification from the National Institute for Sports (NIS).

Sunshine Stars, who were relegated from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) last season, will compete in the Nigeria National League (NNL) under his leadership. Their campaign begins with an away match against Edel FC in Owerri this weekend.
