NFF Organizes First Ever CAF C Coaching Course for Women

The Nigeria Football Federation NFF is set to launch its inaugural CAF C Coaching Course exclusively for women. Scheduled to commence from 15th to 25th July at the NFF/FIFA Technical Centre in the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, this initiative marks a significant step towards empowering female coaches in Nigeria.

According to NFF Technical Director, Coach Augustine Eguavoen, the program is divided into three modules. The first module runs from the 15th to the 25th of July, followed by a two week internship from 27th July to 7th August. Participants will return to Abuja for the second module from 12th to 20th August, followed by another two week internship from 23rd August to 4th September. The third module, which includes examinations, will take place from the 9th to the 19th of September.

The course will feature daily theory and practical sessions from 8 am to 6 pm, with intermittent breaks for tea and lunch. Thirty coaches are expected to attend, with preference given to retired football players and women currently in coaching who lack formal licenses. Notable former Super Falcons players such as Precious Dede, Joy Jegede, and Vera Okolo are among the attendees.
