Obafemi Martins has called on Samuel Chukwueze to leave AC Milan at the end of the season to revive his form and career. The former Nigeria international believes the winger would benefit from a change of environment, having struggled to secure consistent playing time since his move to the Serie A club from Villarreal in 2023.
Chukwueze, 25, has made 47 league appearances for the Rossoneri, with the majority coming off the bench. His lack of rhythm and game time has reportedly affected his performances for the Nigerian national team as well.
Martins suggested that a move possibly even to the Saudi Pro League could be in Chukwueze’s best interest. “If a good offer comes along, why not? The main thing is for him to play and become a regular starter again. Rhythm and confidence are essential for him,” he said.
The ex-Inter Milan striker also stressed that a transfer would be vital for Chukwueze to maintain his place and influence in the Super Eagles setup.
