Kwara United have unveiled Ashifat Suleiman as their new technical adviser for the remainder of the 2025/26 season, with the possibility of extension.
The unveiling ceremony took place at the club’s office in Ilorin and was attended by the club’s chairman, Kumbi Titiloye, represented by General Manager Mallam Bashir Badawiy.
Titiloye remarked that Suleiman is deeply familiar with the club’s structure and philosophy, having worked with the team for years. The management expressed full confidence in his ability to lead the club to success.
Suleiman, a former player and captain of the team, pledged to work closely with his technical crew to achieve the club’s objectives. He revealed that his aspirations include retaining the Nigerian President’s Federation Cup and mounting a challenge for the league title this season. His coaching philosophy emphasises possession-based play and creativity, and he appealed to fans and supporters to rally behind the squad.
He succeeds Tunde Sanni, who led the club earlier and was asked to step aside after a run of disappointing results and early exit from the CAF Confederation Cup.
