Nigeria’s U17 women’s team, the Flamingos, have kicked off their training camp at the Remo Stars Sports Institute, Ikenne-Remo, ahead of their FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifying double header against South Africa’s Bantwana. As bronze medallists at the 2022 World Cup, the Flamingos earned a bye into the second round, while South Africa advanced after a dominant 21-2 aggregate victory over Gabon.
NFF General Secretary Dr Mohammed Sanusi stressed the importance of early preparation due to the competitive nature of matches against South Africa.
