Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi was pivotal in Leicester City’s 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace in their Premier League clash on Saturday. Ndidi provided both assists for Leicester’s goals, bringing his total Premier League assists to 12, surpassing Nigerian football legend Austin Okocha’s record of 10 assists.
Leicester manager Steve Cooper utilised Ndidi in a more advanced attacking midfield role, playing behind Jamie Vardy. Ndidi’s perfectly timed through ball enabled Vardy to beat the Crystal Palace goalkeeper and score into an empty net, giving Leicester an early lead.
