Wikki Tourists have been hit with a ₦7.5 million fine by the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) following a security breach and crowd trouble during their Matchday 25 fixture against Katsina United. The Bauchi-based club also faces additional sporting sanctions as part of the punishment.
The sanctions stem from a failure to provide adequate and effective security at the game, which saw unauthorised individuals gain access to restricted areas, resulting in harassment of officials and delayed play.

As well as the monetary fine, the club’s home matches have been moved away from their traditional Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium to New Jos Stadium as part of the punishment. Wikki Tourists have a limited window to appeal the decision if they choose to challenge the disciplinary ruling.
