Chukwueze Nets First PL Brace — But Fulham Fall 5–4 To Man City

Fulham FC’s Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze scored his first-ever Premier League brace on Tuesday, but his efforts weren’t enough as Manchester City edged a dramatic 5–4 win in a nine-goal thriller at Craven Cottage.

City had stormed into a 5–1 lead by the 54th minute with goals from Erling Haaland, Tijjani Reijnders, Phil Foden (two), plus an own goal and looked set for a comfortable victory.

But Fulham refused to roll over. A strike from Alex Iwobi in the 57th minute sparked hope, and Chukwueze brought on as substitute then delivered. He first volleyed in at the 72nd minute, then struck again six minutes later to make it 5–4, setting up a tense finale.  Despite the defeat, the performance and Chukwueze’s brace in particular gave Fulham and their fans reason to believe.
