Osayi Kingdom Honoured as Best Goalkeeper in Swedish Södertälje League

Nigerian goalkeeper Kingdom Osayi has been named Best Goalkeeper of the Year in the Södertälje division of Swedish football, following a standout season with Assyriska FF.

The 21 year old shot-stopper, who joined Assyriska on loan from Rangers International earlier this year, earned widespread praise for his reflex saves, aerial dominance, and consistency between the posts.

Osayi’s performances were instrumental in keeping his side competitive throughout the season. According to club insiders, his leadership at the back and composure under pressure helped Assyriska to several crucial clean sheets.

Reflecting on the award, Osayi thanked his teammates, coaching staff and the club’s supporters: “This honour means a lot to me. I came here to prove my worth, and to be recognised like this shows the hard work has paid off.”

Moving forward, he says he hopes to build on this success to help Assyriska challenge for promotion and to attract interest from clubs in higher tiers of Swedish football.
