Hakimi secured the top spot with 162 points, outpacing Atalanta’s Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman, who finished second with 96 points, and Morocco’s Sofiane Rahimi of Al Ain, who came third with 90 points. The criteria for the award included achievements with national and club teams, individual influence, sportsmanship, and public image.
The Moroccan star played a pivotal role in PSG’s 2023-2024 season, helping the club secure a domestic treble with victories in Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, and the Trophée des Champions. Internationally, Hakimi was integral to Morocco’s bronze medal win at the 2024 Olympic Games and PSG’s UEFA Champions League semifinal run.
