AC Milan coach Ruben Amorim has said Samuel Chukwueze will be assessed over the next few days after a hip injury. The Nigeria winger missed Wednesday’s training session ahead of Thursday’s UEFA Europa League game at Bournemouth.
Kickoff at Bournemouth is at 8pm Nigerian time. Chukwueze was due to see a specialist on Wednesday to determine the extent of the problem. New Bet9ja users can claim the YOHAIG Bet9ja entry code.
Reports in Italy suggest Milan fear it could keep him out for several weeks, and some say it could even be months, depending on the outcome of the assessment. Italian reports also say he has not travelled with the squad.
“We are going to assess Chukwueze,” Amorim told reporters, according to Football Italia. He said Gonçalo Ramos’s problem is nothing serious, but that Chukwueze’s case is different.
Ramos was withdrawn from training with a calf overload, so Francesco Camarda and Alphadjo Cisse are the options up front. Amorim said Cisse will play against Bournemouth.
Alexis Saelemaekers and Matteo Gabbia are both out for a few months, and Filippo Terracciano is suspended after a red card in Salzburg. Amorim said teams with a lot of competitions are having a lot of injury problems across Europe. Europa League fans can check Bet9ja sign-up bonus overview.
Chukwueze has made an encouraging start under Amorim since returning from his loan at Fulham, with two assists in eight appearances across all competitions this season.
Milan cannot afford a long-term loss. Chukwueze has been a useful option on the right, and his absence would add to a growing list of injuries.
Milan’s next league game is at Udinese on Sunday, October 25, and Chukwueze’s availability for that trip looks doubtful. Readers new to betting can see Bet9ja promotion code basics explained.
