Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade says she is doing okay and that scans and medical consultations on her ankle injury are still ongoing. As reported by FootballInNigeria.com.ng, the Paris Saint-Germain forward posted the update on X on Thursday.
Ajibade was forced off in the 23rd minute of Nigeria’s 5-0 win over Comoros at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Tuesday, after a collision with an opponent. Folashade Ijamilusi replaced her.
Interim coach Augustine Eguavoen said after the match that the medical team had taken her to hospital for an MRI scan. “It’s an unfortunate injury,” he said.
Surgery Reports Emerge
Reports citing NFF head of communications Ademola Olajire say the MRI revealed a fracture in her right ankle. They add that she is scheduled for surgery in Paris on Friday.
Ajibade herself hasn’t confirmed that, and her statement made no mention of surgery. She said more updates will be shared when available.

What It Means For Nigeria And PSG
Ajibade joined PSG in August 2025 on a deal that runs to June 2027. A long absence would be a blow for her club and for the Falcons, who face Morocco in the Olympic qualifiers in February and March 2027.
One report suggests she could miss the rest of 2026, but no official timeline has been given.
