Another goal, no points
Kelechi Iheanacho scored in his 10th consecutive game for club and country, but Bursaspor lost 2-1 at home to Mardin 1969 Spor in the Turkish TFF 1. Lig on Sunday. Tonio Teklic gave the visitors the lead in the 21st minute. FootballInNigeria.com.ng reports that Iheanacho equalised in the 81st minute with a superb strike from outside the penalty area.
Zdravko Dimitrov then scored the winner for Mardin in the fourth minute of stoppage time. It was a cruel finish for Bursaspor after Iheanacho’s late leveller.

A streak for club and country

Add his opening goal for the Super Eagles in the 3-3 draw with Russia in Nizhny Novgorod, and he has scored in 10 straight games for club and country this season.
He has also matched and then surpassed the club scoring-streak mark held by Fernandao from the 2014/15 season. Fernandao scored in eight consecutive league rounds, a mark Iheanacho equalled in September.

From Celtic to Bursa
Iheanacho joined Bursaspor as a free agent in July after leaving Celtic, signing a deal that runs until June 30, 2029. At Celtic he helped win the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup double.
