Ohale’s new chapter in Italy
Osinachi Ohale has completed a permanent move to Italian side Como 1907 after leaving Mexican club Pachuca. The 34 year old centre back joins on a free transfer after three years in Mexico. FootballInNigeria.com.ng reports that the move marks a return to Italy, where she played for AS Roma in 2020.
She told the club’s website that she is happy to return to Italy and has a very positive feeling about the move. She added that she is ready to do whatever the coach asks to help the team.

What Como expect
Como’s women’s technical director Nils Nielsen called Ohale a very experienced and good defender. He said her international career, built over more than 15 years for Nigeria and many of them as captain, is “extremely valuable for us”.
Nielsen also highlighted her positioning, her one-on-one marking and her aerial strength as qualities that will help the team.
Three years at Pachuca
Ohale joined Pachuca after representing Nigeria at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. She made 105 appearances for the club across all competitions, including 82 regular season games, 21 playoff games and two Concacaf Women’s Champions Cup matches.
She scored six goals during that spell.
