Nine players have reported to the Super Falcons’ camp ahead of their 2028 Olympic Games qualifier against Comoros. They include Dynamo Brest forward Blessing Nkor and Edo Queens players Tumininu Adeshina, Christiana Uzoma and Valentina Uroko.
Farida Abdulwahab, Joy Igbokwe, Fatimoh Solaty, Glory Edet and Sandra John also arrived early. More players are expected to join the team’s base at the AM2PM Hotel in Ijebu-Ode on Monday, October 5, and during the week.
Who Is Still to Arrive
Rasheedat Ajibade, Asisat Oshoala, Ashleigh Plumptre and Gift Monday are among the key players expected to join the squad this week. Interim head coach Augustine Eguavoen invited 28 players for the second round tie. New bettors following the Falcons can read Bet9ja’s promo code in short.
Most of the early arrivals play in Nigeria’s domestic league, while Nkor plays in Belarus for Dynamo Brest.
The Tie
Comoros host the first leg on Friday, October 9, with Nigeria the designated home side for the return on Tuesday, October 13. Both matches will be played at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo, because Comoros don’t have a CAF approved venue.
The Falcons must win on aggregate to reach the third round of a five-stage qualifying campaign that ends in December 2027. Readers curious about betting terms can learn what a Bet9ja promotion code does before the first leg.
Rebuilding
Eguavoen is in charge on an interim basis after a disappointing 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which also saw the Falcons miss out on the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup for the first time in their history.
Comoros named 22 players for the tie, and the winner will face DR Congo or Morocco in the third round between February 23 and March 6, 2027.
