Enugu Rangers beat Warri Wolves 1-0 away on Wednesday, September 30, to bounce back from defeat at Ikorodu City and move to the top of the NPFL table. Godwin Obaje scored the only goal from the penalty spot in the 11th minute.
The game, one of the midweek rescheduled fixtures, was played at the Southern Delta University Stadium in Ozoro, with Wolves as the hosts. Rangers had lost 2-0 at Ikorodu City in their previous league game.
How Rangers Won
Obaje converted the early penalty, and Rangers then defended with discipline against a home side that pushed for an equaliser after the break. Wolves never found the goal, and the visitors held on to keep a clean sheet.
