Moses Simon is set to be honoured by the Nigeria Football Federation should he make his 100th appearance for the Super Eagles against Madagascar in Friday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
A Decade Of Service Since His 2015 Debut
Simon made his international debut back in March 2015 against Uganda in a friendly, coming on as a 59th-minute substitute for Anthony Ujah. Now 31 and playing his club football with Paris FC, he has gone on to become one of Nigeria’s most experienced players over the past decade.
A Career Built Across Competitions
Simon currently has 99 caps to his name, made up of 64 competitive matches and 35 friendlies. He has featured 23 times at the Africa Cup of Nations finals and made 22 appearances in FIFA World Cup qualifiers, contributing 11 goals along the way.
Joining An Exclusive Club
A 100th cap against Madagascar would see Simon join the small group of Nigerian players to have reached the milestone, with the NFF planning to mark the occasion when the Super Eagles open their qualifying campaign at home on Friday.
