Falconets head coach Moses Aduku says his team is fully prepared for their opening match against Spain at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Nigeria will face Spain in their Group F opener in Sosnowiec on Monday, 7 September. The Falconets rounded off their preparations with a 1-1 draw against Korea Republic on Tuesday, following an earlier 1-0 win over hosts Poland in Brzeg last Friday.
“My Girls Are Ready”
Speaking to NFF media, Aduku said preparations had gone well, with no injury concerns in the squad heading into the tournament opener. Reflecting on the draw with Korea Republic, he said Nigeria could have won the game but credited the Koreans as a good side, adding that a couple of scoring chances went unconverted.
Taking It One Game At A Time
Aduku said the squad’s full focus is now on Spain, describing their approach as taking the tournament one match at a time with no other fixture in mind beyond the opener.
