Ugandan Premier League champions Vipers SC have completed the signing of Nigerian defender Princewill Tarabina from Plateau United.

Tarabina joins the Venoms on a two-year contract after a productive season with the Peace Boys, contributing two goals and two assists in 20 league appearances last term. He previously spent four years at fellow NPFL side Bayelsa United before his move to Plateau United, and becomes Vipers SC’s seventh signing of the summer as the Ugandan champions continue building their squad for the new campaign.

“He Will Continue To Progress”

Vipers SC head coach Denis Lavagne welcomed the 23 year old’s arrival, telling the club’s official website that Tarabina would benefit from training alongside the club’s experienced centre backs, Hilary Mukundane, Kevin Dayslva and Nicholas Mwere, and that the environment would help him continue developing as a player.

A Fresh Start In Uganda

Tarabina said he was delighted to join the Vipers SC family and eager to meet his new teammates, staff and supporters. He acknowledged the scale of the challenge ahead, noting that Vipers are the reigning league champions with a title to defend, and said he was looking forward to working under Lavagne, having followed the progress other young players have made under his coaching.
