Defending champions Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have arrived in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, for the 2026 WAFU B U-20 Championship.
The players and officials departed Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Monday morning, continuing their journey on to Yamoussoukro, the tournament’s host city.
Abdu Maikaba’s side will begin the defence of their title against Ghana on July 27 at the Lycee Scientifique de Yamoussoukro. Nigeria will then face Togo at the same venue three days later, before wrapping up their Group B campaign against Burkina Faso on August 2, also at the Lycee Scientifique.
The tournament doubles as the qualifying competition for the 2027 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
